We are testing a question: does a visual reference help clients and colourists discuss colour? Your experience will help answer it.

No card. No automatic upgrade. The 14-day evaluation starts when your setup is agreed; Free access does not expire after the pilot.

Your run sheet

Start small. Record what happens.

01

Set up with a demo

Choose one participating colourist. Create and verify your own account, then create the salon on Free. Check your salon link, shade comparison and stylist-card export using the demo portrait.

02

Try five consultations

Over 14 days, invite consenting adult clients to compare two or three directions. Discuss their hair history and what is achievable. Keep the preferred preview as a visual reference if the client wishes.

03

Review the experience

Record usefulness, AI usage and whether the colourist used it again. Tell us what helped and what got in the way. Decide whether to stay on Free or discuss a paid plan.

Start with local colour preview. It runs on the device and does not use AI credits. The Free salon plan includes 20 AI looks per monthly allowance period and one seat. The pilot does not reset that allowance or add extra seats.

AI looks are optional. To keep this test bounded, stop AI use when the salon allowance is used up; continue with local colour preview. Any AI photo submission requires the client's separate agreement.

Before each consultation

  • Explain that the preview is a digital simulation.
  • Use an adult client's own photo only with their agreement.
  • Check lighting and compare the original with the preview.
  • Discuss hair history, maintenance, condition and realistic options.
  • Treat the stylist card as a reference, not a colour formula.

Share the free printable consultation checklist to help clients prepare references and questions.

Keep measurement simple

  • Use session numbers, not client names.
  • If a card was shown, rate its usefulness in the colour discussion from 1 (low) to 5 (high).
  • Note optional AI looks and any problem.
  • Record minutes spent only if you can measure them; time saving is not assumed.
  • Do not send client photos or identifying details with pilot feedback.

At the end: did the colourist use it on more than one day? Would you continue? Which plan, if any, would you consider? A yes is feedback, not a payment.

A few practical questions

When does the pilot start?

After you request setup and we agree the start together. Sending the form expresses interest; it does not confirm a place or enrol your clients.

Can my whole team join?

The Free plan has one seat. Choose one colourist for this initial evaluation. A separate team plan can be discussed afterwards if you need more seats.

What happens after 14 days?

We review the five consultations. You can stay on Free. Nothing converts automatically to a paid subscription. We confirm availability, payment options and access dates in reply; paid access starts only after we receive an agreed payment.

What can a preview tell us?

It shows a direction to discuss. It cannot predict the exact salon result, lightening stages, damage risk or a colour formula. The colourist makes the professional assessment.

Where do client photos go?

Local colour preview runs on the device. Optional AI looks send a photo to the AI provider only after separate agreement. The service's privacy policy explains processing and retention. Client photos are not needed for this scorecard.

Ready to test your own workflow?

Tell us about your Melbourne salon and the colourist who would take part. We will discuss setup before the evaluation begins.
